HEARTHS community development in Africa

HEARTHS, short for “HElping African Refugees To Help ThemSelves” is a project of self help, with its aim to inspire our members to unite and work together in the spirit of mutual love, trust, care and respect, and to help improve living conditions for many poor and suffering people all across Africa by learning what they can do to help themselves and one another.
HEARTHS is a most unique human rights organization which I single handedly started by working with our members in Africa exclusively through Facebook. Over more than one decade I have worked with, and by doing this gained the trust and affection of thousands of people from all across Africa who want to learn to free themselves from the spiral of poverty. To make that possible, HEARTHS would like to support various sustainable projects, designed to empower our members through group meetings and workshops, educational programs in the field of agriculture, health care, a school dedicated to the development of talents and practical skills, nutritional programs, computer-based education, and the setting up of small businesses so that our members can learn to support themselves instead of always having to rely on the help of others.
Most of the poor people in Africa live very isolated from each other. Other than a few personal friends, they dont really trust and care for “strangers”. It is therefore the purpose of HEARTHS to unite our members in the spirit of love, mutual respect and trust, For that purpose I have created a group page on Facebook, which is home to more than 3100 HEARTHS members from all across Africa, Ghana, Liberia, Kenya, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Kongo, and many other african countries.
The majority of our members are extremely poor and uneducated refugees, widows and orphans who have no one to look after them. but we also have many artists, students, teachers, writers, DJ’s, founders of various humanitarian agencies and orphanage leaders as members of HEARTHS. After countless conversations with many people in Africa, I realized how difficult it is to encourage them to work together only through the internet.
Over the years I met some very prominent, educated, good-hearted and trusworth people, and then appointed them to HEARTHS executives. With their help we started a few small projects, like distribute food to an orphanage in Liberia, hold several group meetings in Ghana, Liberia and Uganda, and conduct a career development program with around 70 students in Liberia.
HEARTHS has countless good hearted and dedicated people all across Africa, eager to work on many projects, like establishing HEARTHS centers, where we are teaching our members how to grow their own food, develop schools where our members receive some basic education, learn values and gain practical skills on how to run small businesses so they can support themselves, which I have come to find is really the only way out of poverty.
A project like the development of a HEARTHS community center in different countries of Africa would cost around $1000 - $2000, which considering the great impact this will have on the entire community, is rather small. Still, one of our greatest challenges is that we are not having any sponsors, so I am officially appealing to other kindhearted humanitarian minded individuals who would be willing to support us.
Be it a one-time donation of $10, $50, $100 or more, or a regular monthly donation, anything that comes from the heart is greatly appreciated and needed. We also could greatly benefit from items such as cell phones, cameras, laptops, clothes, medicine, schoolbooks and writing materials. If you are willing to help, you could either send your heartfelt donation directly through this go-fund-me page, and I will then forward it to Africa, together with my regular monthly support of between $200 and $500, with which I have sending to my HEARTHS team in Africa for many years now, or I could also give you the contact information of my HEARTHS people in Africa, and so you could speak directly with them and make arrangements on how your heartfelt donation will get directly to where it is needed mostly.

All help comes from the love in your heart, and that is also the message to our many members in Africa, who want to learn to not just seek help from others, but how to help themselves and one another, which is really the main purpose and mission of HEARTHS, to unite and empower our members in the spirit of mutual love, care, trust, respect and appreciation, so we can all work together and help each other fulfill our mission, which is to HElp African Refugees To Help themSelves.
From the bottom of my heart, and in the name of the many members of HEARTHS all across Africa, we appreciate your kindness, for this is what will help make this world a better place.
