HeartMatters NYC Counseling Scholarship

As in past years, I participated in a cycling event to raise funds for the HeartMatters NYC Counseling scholarship. The scholarship is offered to individuals, couples and families who could not otherwise be able to pay for counseling care. We are so excited about our new therapeutic offering, Transforming Anxiety. Embracing Peace. 6-week Growth Program. September 13- October 18, 2023. A donation of $500 will be an investment in one participant to learn about their anxiety- to understand it and befriend it -to live a flourishing life. Our goal this year is to raise $10,000.

HeartMatters NYC is a Multi-Cultural Christian Counseling practice in Midtown Manhattan. Our mission is to offer excellent, trauma-informed and compassionate Christian counseling care and integrate Christian faith and spirituality as a source of power, resilience and hope. This year I was a team member with Ride for Racial Justice, RFRJ. We rode in the world-class event, SBT Gravel race in Steamboat, CO on August 20, 2023. RFRJ is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for BIPOC athletes to participate in cycling events to increase inclusion and visibility in the sport. The presence of this team in this event represents more equity, diversity and inclusion in the cycling world. Bikes=Freedom.
