Hearts & Hands Come Together for Barb Boogertman

Barb Boogertman was diagnosed with an advanced metastatic cancer just before Christmas 2020. As she begins her fight against this disease an army of her friends and family are coming together to help to support her needs. We are creating this campaign with the hope of raising much needed funds.

* Dave's priority must be Barb's care, so he is not able to work continually and steadily
* Just covering everyday expenses is becoming a struggle
Barb and her family need our help and they need it quickly.
Barb and Dave were high school sweethearts. They went to different schools, but they were destined to meet. It's not surprising that they met at the church attended by their grandparents, who were already friends. Born and raised in New Jersey, Barb and Dave ultimately moved to Pennsylvania to raise their family.
Faith filled people, Barb and Dave have spent their lives volunteering and helping others. Barb has devoted her entire life to helping children from various backgrounds. Barb's most significant impact has been with children in the Pre-K stages of life.
Dave has been one of the most active members of Lakeville Volunteer Fire Company for nearly 30 years. Dave has devoted significant time protecting and serving the community as part of the fire company.
Barb and Dave have also provided unwavering support to the Hawley United Methodist Church for many years.
* Assisting with church maintenance
* Participating in and leading youth group activities
* Traveling with congregation members not once, but twice, to Honduras to donate their time and talents to those in need
Barb and Dave have devoted their lives to helping others. Now is the time for others to help them. Barb and Dave are selfless people who would never ask for help. They are in tremendous need as a result of Barb's diagnosis.
All donations raised through this campaign will go straight to Barb and her family to help ease their financial burdens. Their daughter Alexa and son-in-law Joe Bias are assisting with financial matters. They will ensure that funds are withdrawn as needed. Please help us all to help Dave and Barb.
