HEARTS RALLYING FOR RAY BOECHE
We are reaching out to the many friends and neighbors whom Pastor Ray Boeche has served, both in his ministries and in his friendships. If you know Ray, you know his heart. This special man with a big, caring heart now needs your help.
Ray was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma in August 2019. Treatment consists of three days of chemotherapy and immunotherapy once a month for six months which began October 2019. The fatigue from these treatments is relentless. It has weakened his immune system and threatens with infection to take over. He had a heart attack in 1997 and a bronchial carcinoid tumor in 2001 that claimed most of his right lung. In short, Ray is fighting his lymphoma with one lung, but also with the big heart that he has shared with so many of us. And with our prayers. And Our Lord’s strong hand.
Because of being at his present employer for just over a year, Ray’s available personal time-off is already gone and he will only accrue one day for each month in the new year. He needs to be absent an estimated 5 days a month due to cancer treatments and side effects/illness that accompany the treatments. Those days off are uncompensated in his paycheck. Based on his progress, it is
probable that Ray will lose ¼ of his monthly income for the next 6 months. In addition, beginning January 1, 2020 his employer-provided insurance enters a new plan year and Ray will immediately be responsible for $5800, his annual deductible, to be paid in January, 2020 for the $41,000 monthly chemo treatments.
Ray and Nancy need our help/support to cover $12,000 in lost wages and their insurance deductible payment.
Ray has given his heart, his life, his talents to support and serve those whom God has put in his care. He has done so humbly and with love.
We have this opportunity now to serve Ray by supporting him in his
