Heat Diné Homes
Donation protected
As our nation fights against this epidemic the community needs to come together and support one another. During these times of physical/social distancing and quarantine measures, there has been an increase in people who are in dire need of any type of assistance. The welfare of our elderly relatives and families who live in remote areas on the reservation need to be kept at the forefront of our issues throughout this ordeal. Families are currently in need of essentials such as food, water, cleaning supplies, and firewood. Our group is helping and contributing to the community by providing these essentials to families who are in need and do not have the transportation or are physically unable to leave their safehavens(homes) to obtain these items. Our group of volunteers gather donations, portion, package and distribute care packages to families who reside on the Navajo Reservation and on nearby neighboring tribal lands.
Heat Dine Homes was created in April as a volunteer group organized to haul and deliver wood to homes in need of this valuable heating source. Since then we have evolved into an organization which has taken up the task of helping families in need with food, water, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products. So far we have helped over 800 families and there are many more who are still and have not received any form of assistance. We will continue with this mission because there is a great need for help amongst our Navajo people. Heat Dine Homes truly appreciates all the support and contributions from our donators which has funded this project effectively and makes this all possible. We are still accepting and encouraging everyone to donate monetarily. Ahe hee'(Thank You)
