Heather Colston's Cancer Battle

Let's help Heather kick cancer!  Heather Colston was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma three and a half years ago.   She opted for surgery to remove the cancer,  which was in her abdomen.   After an extensive surgery and recovery she was cancer free for three years.   This fall the cancer decided to show its face again.   This time it was a little more complicated.   It showed up in her spine,  arm, and hip.   Since it is in her bones the task for a cure is a little more complicated .  She opted for spinal surgery October 17th to remove the tumor in her T5.  Her surgery lasted 13 hours.   During that time she had some complications and lost spinal cord feeling in her lower extremities along with a blood clot.   After a more than two month hospital stay,  she is slowly regaining feeling with in home therapy.   She has to learn to stand and walk along with other struggles.    She requires many daily needs,  along with needing a scooter to help her get around.   She will also begin radiation and chemotherapy soon with a lot of travel.   The family had to build a ramp and purchase a van to help her with her needs.   Our family is asking for a little help with all the expenses she will incur during the coming months of therapy, treatments, medical bills and time lost at work for her husband.   Heather is married to Brian,  and has two teenage sons Bryce and Brodie who are dedicated to the healing process!
