Heather Leah Dismuke
December 7, 1970- March 9, 2023

“I have Come by the way of the Cross.” On Thursday, March 9, 2023, Heather Dismuke, 52, of St. George, GA, passed into the glorious hands of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, with her family by her side after a heroic battle with colon cancer.

Heather was born on December 7, 1970, on Castle Air Force Base in Merced, California, as the oldest of three children, to Maxie and Wanda (Watson) Helms. Heather was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, aunt, friend, devoted Christian, and Pastor’s wife. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Macclenny, Florida, where her husband has pastored for 19 years. Heather graduated from Trinity Baptist College of Jacksonville, Florida, with a B.S. Degree in Secondary Education and a double minor in Music and English.

Heather had many passions in her life. Playing the piano, singing, swimming, snorkeling, reading, quality time with her family, running, Alabama Crimson Tide football, and teaching piano are just a few. She enjoyed going to the beach and listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. Heather’s life touched an innumerable amount of people. Her friends reach far and wide, with too many to name.

Most importantly, Heather was a devoted servant of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Her testimony impacted the lives of so many. One of her most memorable verses is John 6:37, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” This verse was used to help lead her to salvation. What a great confirmation we have! We know Heather is in the presence of the King.

Heather is survived by the love of her life and husband of 29 years, Pastor Torran Davin Dismuke; precious children, daughter, Hailey Hannah Dismuke; sons, Joseph Davin Dismuke and Jared David Dismuke, father, Maxie Preston Helms; mother, Peggy Wanda (Watson) Helms; sister, Hope Elaine (Helms) McNeese; brother, Heith Maxie Helms; nieces, Sabinka, Karolina, Morgan, and Madison; nephews, Clayton and Clint; along with a host of other family and friends who love her dearly.

Heather Dismuke is a mother, wife, sister, friend, and a faithful Christian. She has been dealing with nerve damage from shingles since February of 2017. She recently found out on July 10, 2020, that she has colon cancer. This was so unexpected for her, her husband, her children, and her friends and family.

As of December 2, 2022, we found out that her cancer has spread to her liver, ovaries, uterus, and lining of her intestines. Please be in prayer for this family!

Heather and her family have a long road ahead of them. The last thing they need to worry about is finances. I had it on my heart to create a way for people to give to help this family with any and all of their needs. ALL money will go to the Dismuke family to cover anything from medical bills, to groceries.
Any giving would greatly help this family and you can have confidence in me to get this to them. Please follow the Lord and give what he asks of you.

Heather went home to be with the Lord on March 9th, 2023. She is no longer suffering. Please consider giving to the family. I know they will appreciate it.

If you’d like to give through PayPal, please feel free to contact me. Also, if you’d like to write a check directly to the family, the churches address is 604 West Macclenny Avenue, Macclenny, Florida 32063.
