Heather Freligh is a 13-yr-old young girl who goes to Art Freiler Elementary school in Tracy CA. She has a deep passion for playing basketball and has been playing competitive travel basketball for girl's and boy's teams locally. She currently plays basketball at Art Freiler school and for AAU Boys Team Tracy Spartans. Heather believes in God and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Heather is the only girl surrounded by four loving brother siblings. Heather is a top student at her school and helps teach basketball in her community.
At the age of 13, Heather, with great sadness, suffered a heart attack while sitting in class on Friday, Sept 22nd. CPR was started and a defibrillator was used to restart her heart. Heather was airlifted out of town to an excellent hospital where she required a machine to help her breathe.
On Saturday afternoon, by Gods/Jesus grace and friend/families prayers, Heather was able to wake up and mentally respond to hospital staff and family. Heather is undergoing several tests and medically treatment to assess her condition and plan for recovery. As of now, it is unknown what happened to Heather as medical staff work to assess her needs.
Heather is doing well but has a long road to recovery. The family will be experiencing unforeseen costs of travel costs multiple times per day, parking expenses, medical expenses, added gas expenses and added food costs while they help care for and watch over Heather during her treatment and recovery. Also, while taking care of their other four(4) children at home going back-and-forth. Heather's mother will be taking a leave of absence from work, unpaid, to help take care of Heather at the hospital and sleep next to her at night.
Please only give if you are able and if God moves your heart to help. Prayers are most important for Heather and her family. The Freligh family has helped so many locally in their community and it is difficult for them to ask for help, as they are used to helping others.
