Heather Henry's Breast Cancer Healing Treatment

Heather's Story
On May 31, 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer: invasive ductal carcinoma, triple positive.
My doctor at the Mayo-affiliated hospital described the 5 cm lump and recommended traditional chemotherapy followed by targeted drug therapy, surgery, and radiation. This treatment was echoed when I sought a second opinion at Rochester’s Mayo Clinic.
These recommendations did not feel in alignment with what my heart was telling me. Instead, I chose to make some drastic changes to my already health-conscious diet and lifestyle, centering my days around natural/holistic therapies and treatments that have included ayurvedic treatments and herbs, acupuncture and Chinese medicine, reflexology, sound therapy, meditation, and prayer. The doctor I was seeing agreed to work with me regarding checks by ultrasound.
At my two-month check, the mass appeared to be slightly reduced; my four-month check in October produced similar results.
My doctor, who is thoroughly grounded in Western allopathic medicine, shared that my progress thus far is consistent with the target goals of the recommended chemotherapy treatment—and told me to keep doing what I am doing.
Feeling better and stronger than ever, I am filled with love and gratitude for this healing journey! However, while my insurance would have covered the exorbitant cost of traditional treatment, my natural/holistic treatments are completely out-of-pocket expenses.
