Heather & Joey Miltenberger Medical Fund

Donation protected
On February 25th, the unimaginable happened. Joey, Heather and two of their children were involved in a horrific car accident where another driver skidded across the median on the freeway and hit them head on. Both Heather and Joey were transported to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD and their oldest child was flown to Ruby Memorial in Morgantown, WV.

Fortunately, their daughter has been released from Ruby and is back with her siblings at home, but both Joey and Heather have sustained massive injuries that will require multiple surgeries, extensive hospital stays, and an intense and rigorous rehabilitation plan.

The length of their stay in Baltimore is unknown at this time. Both families are working together to not only help comfort and care for their three children but also provide emotional and physical support for Heather and Joey.
In one tragic instant, this situation has forever changed their lives and we sincerely want to help lessen the financial burden it will create while they are both recovering. Any donation (small or large), support, and love you can provide is greatly appreciated and we know Heather and Joey will be eternally grateful.

If there are other ways you would like to help please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or another family member. This gorgeous family has a long road ahead but we know with the love and support from all of you they can make it to the other side.

UPDATE!

First of all, Heather, Joey, and all of us would like to express our deep gratitude to each and every one of you for your help and support! We've all been gobsmacked with this outpouring, and I know that has helped Heather and Joey through this terrible situation.
As for the situation...

The kids have been completely cleared and are living at home. Just some bruises and the shocking memory of what happened remain. Thank goodness for that!
Heather & Joey, after countless surgeries, pokings and proddings from doctors, and more than a little Terminator hardware installed over the course of THREE WEEKS in the UMD Shock Trauma center, have moved back to Cumberland!
They are in a skilled nursing facility in town, which places much less strain on everyone. Now comes the long climb of their rehab, and your support has meant everything to them.

Thank you all, so much!
