Heather (Preece) Mitchell's fight for her life
Donation protected
On June 14th, Heather gave birth to a beautiful new baby girl who completed her little family of gurus. She was moving forward with perseverance and love as a single mom of 3 and had begun settling into that life.
After leaving the hospital, and less than a week after giving birth, Heather suffered two hemorrhagic strokes, a mid-line shift in the brain, and grand mal seizures. She was admitted to the hospital and put into a medically-induced coma. At the same time, loved ones jumped into action to make complex medical decisions for her, pick up the pieces of her life at home, and care for her children, including a 6-day-old newborn baby. Heather has always been highly resilient and has made some improvement in the week that she has been in the Neuro ICU, but it is still uncertain what her capabilities and quality of life will be after recovery.
Heather found a way to create a magical life for her children. She chose to homeschool her two oldest and dedicated her heart and soul to educating them, guiding them, and making their childhood beautiful. Since it is uncertain whether she will be able to provide financially in the future, we are asking for donations to help cover her costs moving forward. It is our hope and prayer that Heather will make a full recovery, and these funds will go a long way to helping her get back on her feet.
