Heather Walker Fund
Donation protected
Our beloved Heather Walker was an inspiring mother, wife, sister, friend, daughter and colleague who passed at the young age of 52. She lost a hard-fought battle on April 26, 2003, to a rare form of brain cancer, Glioblastoma. Her inspiration and bravery have impacted so many personally and professionally. She defined the term MVP and received the Heroes Among Us award by the Boston Celtics, where she worked as the Vice President of Public Relations for 16 years.
Her passion, determination and selflessness have raised over $650,000 for the #Move4Heather (#M4H)/Heather Walker Glioblastoma Fund at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Heather used her illness to help the lives of others and to raise much needed awareness for this deadly and unforgiving disease. She dreamed of eradicating cancer and easing the suffering of those impacted.
To date, this Go Fund Me page has raised over $50,000 to support her family. Your generosity has meant so much. The focus will now turn to Heather and Stephen's beautiful children: Sammy and Taylor as a 529 educational fund will be established for them. To donate, visit: https://go.fidelity.com/0bf9dq.
We thank you for the outpouring of support in honor of this extraordinary woman and ask that you continue to #Move4Heather by loving and living life to the fullest.
