Musicians Without Borders Video
Hello,
I am Heather Jansma, a recently Certified Music Therapist living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. To further my education, I'm attending the CONTACT Summer Peacebuilding Program at SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont, USA.
This three week program will give me vital skills in peace building and healing trauma using music. I intend to bring these skills back to Halifax where I will use them within my own community. Halifax has an ever growing population of immigrants and refugees. Some of our schools educate children and teens from over 50 different countries in the world. Children and Teens deals with bullying at school, and adults deal with it at work. Many new immigrants live in multinational communities within apartment buildings.
