Heather’s Brave Journey

Hi, my name is Garrett. My family and I are raising funds for my sister, Heather, who was just diagnosed with triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 3c.

She was given this horrific diagnosis just four months after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy.

We are asking for funds that will be allocated towards medical bills, childcare, and other expenses that will accumulate during her long journey to recovery.

If you know Heather, you know that she has always wanted to be a mother. When she had complications during this endeavor, she would not give up. After going through IVF three times, she finally got her wish. It was clear to anyone who could see that she was born to be a mother. To have her lifelong wish granted only to find out she had cancer four months later would cripple most people, but not Heather. She is ready to fight, and though she would never ask, she needs our help.

Heather just came out with a Facebook post informing her family and friends of her condition. In true “Heather fashion”, she directed attention to the issue (not herself), and gave advice that could be life saving for others. She’s already finding ways to help others because that’s the type of person she is.
