Heavenly Harper

Harper Laurelle was a precious gift from God, so precious that he called her back to heaven before her family got to meet her. We got to hold and love on her precious earthly body, knowing her soul was already celebrating the joys of heaven. While she is in a better place, her family is struggling with questions like why? Her passing was tragic and unexpected. Her mommy, who happens to be my sister and best friend; loved, protected and carried Harper for 36 weeks. She had an entirely healthy pregnancy up until July 3rd when she had a bout of hypertension. For those of you who know Missy, this was VERY surprising given her healthy lifestyle. She was admitted to the hospital and monitored. Harper had not passed a few tests so they wanted to be safe. After a day of monitoring Missy and Harper were sent home and were told to come back the next day for more monitoring. Missy was given a steroid to ensure proper lung development in preparation for a possible delivery. Thursday, (the day we wish we could all go back to),Harper was monitored and passed her BPP, she was moving around, her heart rate was ok and although the amniotic fluid has decreased, they sent Missy home again with an appointment the following day to monitor. Friday the monitoring didn't go as expected. Harper was found without a heartbeat. My sister, my best friend and the woman who gives way more than she gets was facing her greatest fear....The loss of her child. Labor was induced shortly after. Missy was in labor for 27 hours. Harper was born on July 7th. She appeared perfect. Cameron, myself, Mom, Dad, Megan, Matt and Michelle never left her side. We've cried, prayed, bargained, did the "what if" thing, begged and pleaded. Nothing makes sense. Harper's passing has put us all in state of shock. We are asking for assistance with funeral costs. Missy is a teacher and Cameron is a police officer, both work hard to help everyone else. Missy also has a second job as a boot camp trainer but given her current situation she is unable to work. In addition, sweet Kinley (Harper's big sis) needs her mommy's time attention and support more than ever. I hope you will join me in helping them monetarily during this heart wrenching time. Harper, Kinley, Missy and Cameron deserve the best. Any amount of burden we can take off of them will ensue quicker healing. Please continue to pray for our entire family. Satan is attacking us because we are strong followers of Christ. We've fought him off so many times, but he doesn't give up. Luckily, neither do we. We will overcome this by leaning on our earthly family and our heavenly father.
