We wanted to share an update on Heba and her family. With the ceasefire now in place, Heba has expressed her family’s steadfast intention to remain in Gaza and rebuild their home from the rubble. This decision, rooted in courage and hope, reflects their deep connection to the land they call home and their dreams of a brighter future for Masa and Jasser.

Your donations are now helping to provide not only food and milk but also the vital resources they need to rebuild their lives. Heba remains deeply grateful for your kindness and prayers, which continue to sustain them through these trying times.

We are told that to save one life, is like saving humanity. My name is Alexandra Harris, from Pennsylvania, Philly to Pittsburgh, and I am one of billions of people who just want to see the violence and oppression stop. We cannot change it overnight, however we can do just what we can. We can pray, and we can donate, to offer what we can to save the oppressed from a holocaust.

I connected with Heba and spent time speaking with her and exchanging photos and videos. Heba is no different than my own family members, why must she fear that her children will not be able to grow up? Because of oppression. Let's help her feed her children, and even better provide the resources so she can escape the horrible crimes against the Palestinian peoples. Your donation will be sent to Heba Shetat, via Paypal, so that she can buy food and milk, and save towards fleeing the genocide with her family, as many family members as possible. (Note, that if we are able to meet our goal, we will keep going to raise as much as possible for Heba's extended family and community in Gaza.)

I'm reaching out to you, to share just a little bit of Heba's story. She, along with her two young children, Massa and Jasser; husband, Mahmoud; and mama, Saadya, face imminent threats to their lives in Gaza. We know this, we must help. Every day is a grim and filled with uncertainties under the threat of genocide.

I can just hear Heba's voice, trembling with desperation as she shares, "My friends are dead, and I fear suffering the same fate. There is no place that can provide safety for me and my children."

The situation is dire. Heba struggles to provide even the most basic necessities for her children. "I suffer from my inability to provide diapers and milk for my baby. I can't feed them, and there is no money," she painfully tells me.

I share in Heba's desperation as she shares more about Masa, "My daughter waits for aid planes every day, calling for food and milk. I look at her with great sadness and tears that do not stop flowing because I am unable to provide her with sustenance."

Now, more than ever, Heba, Masa, Jasser, Mahmoud, and Saadya urgently need access and money to afford food and milk to survive.

We also aim to fund their safe departure from Gaza to Egypt and provide them with the necessary resources to open a new chapter in their lives. It's time to act decisively. Let's ensure that Heba's family is not forgotten in the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

What you may not know, is that it takes $2,500 per child 3 years old and younger, and $5,000 per individual older than 3 to facilitate a safe evacuation from Gaza. Heba is in contact with the Hala company to support this goal of escaping the dangers and scarcity in present day Gaza. We wish it did not cost this much, however that cannot prevent us from remembering, "by any means necessary".
