Hello, good morning, my name is Kira Franco. I am a single mother of 2 children. I have 2 jobs to cover my expenses. Eight months ago, my dad came to live with me. He had a stroke, and his right side was immobile most of the time. He spent it in a wheelchair. After so many tests, they detected liver cancer. We were waiting for the appointment at the oncologist's house, which took a long time because he suffered from diabetes and low blood pressure. Then he got pneumonia for that reason. I took him to the emergency room where they intubated him, and I couldn't listen to him anymore. The doctors told me to put him on hospice, and I refused. I wanted to continue fighting for my dad since he couldn't because he was sedated. I fought against the doctors and time, but unfortunately, we lost the battle. The day he died, his body couldn't resist any more medication; it couldn't resist the cancer that spread to all his organs. I couldn't, even though I faced every doctor who came through the door wanting him, he disconnected from the respirator, telling me there was no hope. I had hope in my heart, but it was not enough. Today I ask for your help to say goodbye to my dad, the best dad I could ever ask for.
