Hee Jung Kim-Pak

Hi, my name is Sarah. This is a fundraiser for my aunt Hee Jung who passed away this past Sunday (3/24/24) by homicide. A concerned employee called the police to check on her as it was not normal for Hee Jung to not show at work (her restaurant). The police went to do a wellness check and found her deceased in her bathroom. She was brutally murdered in her own home by a previous employee who was recently captured. Hee Jung was loved by all around her and those who came to enjoy her restaurant that she owned with her late husband, my uncle, Jason Pak who also passed away this past October in 2023. They didn't have any kids and took care of me as their own my entire life. This news was not only shocking news to our direct family but to her friends and employees as well. Hee Jung worked extremely hard to provide for her friends and family, even if she was having a hard time she always found a way to help those around her. Her kind heart and wide soul touch all those she met. This fundraiser will provide funds for her funeral/services as I am currently the only family member who is able to do what needs to be done. Thank you.

Thank you everyone who has donated and the kind words. I am overwhelmed with the amount of support and love that Sammy had from everybody. It is truly amazing to see that her soul touched every single person she met. The restaurant Sushi Q is still open and will continue to stay open in honor of her and continuing her legacy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, words cannot express my gratitude. We all miss her but she will not be forgotten as she lives in our hearts and memories.
