Heidi Haug (Mungall) Cancer bills

Heidi is my closest friend, non biological sister, my family. Heidi is independent and helps everyone but struggles to ask for something in return. As most of you already know Heidi has been struggling to find diagnosis for her health for awhile now. Heidi, her husband, and daughter have gotten some answers but I'm sure not all. Heidi and her family now have the financial stress of the medical bills. Full medical update below

Heidi has been struggling with her health for the past two years with debilitating symptoms. She has large periods of times where she is unable to eat, drink, walk, or other minimal exercise without inappropriate tachycardia episodes often landing her in the emergency room. Fortunately, since moving to Boston a lot of big steps have been made, and even some diagnosis. She was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune conditions, and dysfunction of her autonomic nervous system. While the diagnosis of these conditions is helpful in her path to recovery, the amount of ER visits and doctors appointments have taken a huge financial toll. 

Beyond the difficulties she’s already been dealing with, on April 1st she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when a tumor was incidentally seen on an unrelated test. The prognosis is good, but she will have to have surgery and potentially follow up with radiation and other treatments. The cost of surgery and the added doctors appointments this will bring on top of the other issues she is being followed for is putting her in the doctor’s office multiple times a week, and the financial burden is a lot.
