Heidi Huff Cancer Journey

My best friend, Heidi Huff (42 years old), was diagnosed with colon cancer on Jan 20, 2020. She had been having stomach issues for one year before they found out the cause.  The cancer has spread to her lungs (tumor), ovary (tumor), and her liver (tumor) and is stage 4.  March 23rd she had a port installed for her chemo.  She started having neuropathy on April 9th.

Heidi was a real estate agent and ran apartment complexes before she had to stop working due to her health.  She had the tumor in her colon and her ovary removed on Feb 3rd.  She lost her mom to kidney cancer on Feb 8th and she had herself discharged early so she could see her before she passed.

Heidi’s daughter, Alanna, is in high school. Heidi and Alanna are having to stay with friends because they can no longer afford their house. Heidi is going thru a divorce and recently lost her health insurance.  She has been trying to stay positive.
