Fundraiser for Heidi Smiths memorial service

Our family is currently accepting donations for cost of memorial services to remember Heidi Smith, who has passed surrounded by her loving family on October 10, 2024, at the age of 77, fighting her battle with cancer.

Beloved wife of Jim for 58 years. Devoted mother of Jeffery (Angie), Julie (Tim), and Tracy. Adored grandmother of Christopher, Cassandra, Ashley, and Jessie. Loving Great Grandmother of Sebastian, and Brooklyn. Remembered by her cherished siblings in Canada, Otto, Helga, and Wilfred as well as Erika, Hildagard and the late Hans in Germany. Fondly remembered by many relatives and countless friends.

Heidi was a cherished, and a loved member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake community, and has put a smile on so many countless faces through out her years living in Niagara, she will be greatly missed. As per her wishes, she wanted to be buried by a willow tree. We are currently raising money for a plaque with her engravings in them to be placed at a willow tree in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

A celebration of Heidi’s life will be held on Saturday October 26, 2024, from 1 – 4 pm at the royal Canadian Legion here in Niagara.

If any funds are leftover, I will be donating them to an organization to help with pancreatic cancer research.
