Domestic Violence took away my safe haven help me rebuild it

Most of you know me as David/Ely, very few of you know about the domestic violence, both physical and mental, that I went through with my ex. I kept it extremely personal, mostly because I fell into a deep MD episode where I didn’t leave my home for months. During this time, I felt worthless, lost all confidence, and was also dealing with an eviction due to the damages caused by his rampage through my home. He was arrested and charged. Sadly, that night he literally destroyed every piece of tech I had.
He took a hammer to my PS5, my PS4, two Nintendo Switches, two Flatscreen TVs, every controller I had, my 34 curved PC monitor, my headsets as well as my 12.9” IPAD Pro. Did I mention the front and back windshield of my 2015 Acura MDX… and so much more but that’s not what this is about. During that extremely toxic, abusive relationship I found my love for gaming. I suffer from mental health disorders, etc. but when I discovered gaming, it took so much of the pain and stress away from my situation.
I built a community that supported me and was there for me when I needed them the most. The reason he made sure to destroy it all before he left, leaving me with literally nothing. I became extremely depressed not being able to interact with the one thing that made me feel safe and helped me heal. My online friends. Luckily, I’m pretty tech savvy and was able to borrow some parts from other broken gaming systems and got my PS5 working again. Months later and now it’s giving out on me. The PS5 is overheating, the controller is non-responsive and I’m on the verge of not having anything once again.
As silly as this may sound to some of you, gaming saved my life. It actually saved my life and I couldn’t be more grateful for the people I have met and the community I’ve built that’s supported me throughout this crazy time in my life. I currently have no means of purchasing anything because my ex destroyed my home and my property management is trying to evict me so every penny I have is going to a court-ordered payment plan. So here I am asking for help. I truly do not want to lose the one thing that makes me happy in my life currently. If anyone reading this feels they can help me out in any way, with any amount, the gratitude would be indescribable.
Seriously, thank you.
