HELEN & NORA

Hi, my name is Kimberly and I am setting up this Go Fund Me to help my neighbors Nora and her mother Helen.

You see, two weeks ago the city kicked them out of their home for code violations. Helen is in her late 70’s with health issues. Nora is young at 53, but was in a horrific car accident which has left her in chronic pain and unable to work. Yet she still takes care of her mother and tries hard to make the mortgage payments.

Nora has put Helen in a nursing home temporarily and she has been sleeping in her car in the driveway every night. The city says they won’t help her and she needs to go to a homeless shelter. Another victim of the system. The VA “isn’t able to help”. So much for her fathers years of service. They live on a limited income with most of it going to their mortgage. There is no extra money for repairs.

I am helping best I can. I’m taking food down today because Nora hasn’t eaten in days and I’m going to help clean and move stuff out. I honestly have no idea what I’m walking into, but God said to love thy neighbor and I’m going to help. I just turned 57 yesterday and have RA but I’m not letting this stop me.

Im hoping to raise enough funds to hire a company to come in and clean this place out, bring things up to code and get both Helen and Nora back into their home.

I think enough people have become victims of the system and I think it’s time to stop that process.
