Helenas Mayo Clinic Appointment

Hi everyone- those who know our family know that my mom, Helena, was diagnosed with cancerous brain tumors last year which have become progressively more aggressive these last few months. What makes my mom’s story unique is that her cancer has an unknown primary source which happens in less than 4% of patients. After countless doctor appointments, surgeries, immunotherapy and radiation approaches we have not found any answers as to why my moms tumors are not responding and continue to progress. Her current doctors are recommending hospice care, however we believe the universe has granted her one more chance.

We are fortunate enough to have met with some fantastic doctors at Mayo Clinic who have provided us with a possible explanation and treatment plan, however Mayo Clinic does not accept my mom’s insurance and we must cover all expenses out of pocket.

Any donation amount is appreciated and will go directly towards our payment plan for my mom’s treatment. We are extremely grateful for all of the warmth and support everyone has shown us these past few months during this unimaginable time. Although my mom is unable to physically thank each of you- I know it means the world and a half to her and it’s what is encouraging her to fight.
