Helene Can’t Stop Santa Toy Drive

My name is Leah Starkey in Chesapeake, VA. We have organized a Christmas toy drive in Hampton Roads, VA called Helene Can’t Stop Santa for families in Western North Carolina and Tennessee who were affected by Hurricane Helene. Our goal is to bring Christmas to those that have lost so much this year. Many families have lost everything, and they deserve a little extra holiday cheer this season.

I have connected with a number of families in both NC/TN who are in need of very specific items/toys that their children are asking for from Santa. We will also be supplying each family with wrapping supplies, tape, scissors, name tags, etc., so the parents can gift them directly to their children. Many families are also in need of Christmas decorations as they have lost everything in the floods. We will be dropping all donations off in a number of various locations in both TN and NC in the second week of December.

We are accepting monetary donations to assist with the cost of our U-Haul rental, gas, and lodging for one night. Any money left over will be used to purchase specific items asked for that were not donated.
