Helfrich family lost their home to HF Wildfire
Where do I begin... my grandparents tragically lost their home of over 30 years to the Holiday Farm wildfire. They’ve lived on the McKenzie over 80 years, and my great grandfather before that. My grandparents, Dick and Deanna, have been married for 63 years. They have 3 kids- my mom- Jan (who also lost their home and barn), my uncle Jeff and my aunt Suzy. My grandma worked at McKenzie school for many years and my grandpa had been a lifelong River guide and outdoorsman. Any contribution at all would be so helpful and truly appreciated. All funds raised will go to food, toiletries, clothes, shoes, bedding, lodging, animal food, glasses, Rx, kitchenware.... etc. literally everything. The support we/they have received from friends, family, long lost connections, even acquaintances has been so heartwarming. We’ve gotten casserole and pie from friends even!! They haven’t yet been able to see what’s left of their property. I know this will be a very emotional and long road to rebuilding (literally and figuratively) a new life. Thank you all, stay safe, and sending prayers to all.
