Hella-Halo Foodtruck heavy repairs.

Hi! We’re Pipo and Kelly Carrasca, Owners of Hella-Halo.
A little back story of how we came about. In 2017-2019 I (Pipo) was working full time as a welder commuting to the Bay Area everyday and Kelly was a stay at home Mom to our 3 kids. Just before the pandemic hit, I was laid off. I was forced to find something quick and able to support my family. This is when Hella-Halo went from an idea to active dream fulfillment. Before we had anything started, I created an Instagram to see how well our community would take to this dream/idea. The response was overwhelming! At this point I thought to myself “ there’s no turning back now! Thanks to a few friends/other local small business owners, I was able to throw together the key components to get get our pop up off the ground. On April 14, 2019, we hosted our 1st event and the turn out was far more successful than we could have ever imagined. From that point on, we worked the first years as a tent/pop up vendor. Doing night markets, and a lot of local pop ups around town every weekend trying to get this business off the ground!

After the first year and a half we had saved enough money to buy our first trailer! There was no better feeling than making a purchase with our own hard earned money. We felt so accomplished and accepted by the community.

As we move forward in growth and if you’ve been following us from the beginning, we found a truck at a price that could not be beat, something like a unicorn in the food truck industry. While it did need some work we were able to sell the original trailer to purchase it with the excited possibility of growth when it came to menu items and expansion!

ANOTHER HUGE MILESTONE for Hella-Halo! It’s now been a year and a half with the NEW truck, and if you’ve been following this journey you know we’ve had our fair share of issues with it, we try to be as transparent with what’s going with the truck, because if the truck is down it effects our service to you and ALSO delaying our operations for our Hawaii location.

All of this to say, our repair issues are again growing and I would be lying if I said it hasn’t been bleeding us dry trying to keep up with it and still provide our services to you all. Everything we have done to this point has been self funded and while we are proud of this we are also struggling to figure out how to keep going. So it’s at this point we are reaching out to our community and supporters! You all have always been the most supportive and loyal to us since the beginning! We try our best to be more available to the community but with these next few repairs if not handled as soon as possible, they can halt operations completely until the repairs are made. We appreciate any amount given and hope with this success of this we can host a give back to the community as a thank you!

Here is A list of mechanical truck issues we are facing:
