Helmet Help for Konnor

We are hosting a fundraiser for our son, Konnor, to obtain the required cranial helmets as he grows. Unfortunately, our insurance has hit a roadblock due to Texas State Law 87(R) HB 2134. Konnor was diagnosed with plagiocephaly after his position was breached during childbirth, causing his head to form abnormally flat. Since his bones are still flexible, he needs a helmet to assist him in having more neck mobility, a more symmetrical face, and wearing a sports safety helmet correctly.

Before reaching this point, we tried positioning pillows and visited numerous doctors and specialists. We learned that the insurance would not cover the cost despite scheduling fittings. We are filing an appeal with only a small chance of approval, and we are seeking assistance from the community due to the significant out-of-pocket expense of $2,000 per helmet totaling between $4000-$6000 dollars. He will need a new helmet every 2 to 3 months for the next 6 to 9 months as he continues to grow, and the doctors require at least half the payment upfront for each helmet.

Any funds raised beyond our target will be used to assist other helmet hero babies affected by this unjust law, and we will continue to fight until it is abolished. Thank you for being so kind in helping Konnor become a healthy and happy baby.
