Help 11yo Jasmine with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma

 Hi everyone my name is Mistie Henderson and I’m fundraising to help my niece Jasmine Luella Brown fight the cancer Rhabdomyoscaroma, that she was just diagnosed with. Jasmine, Jazzy to her friends and family, is a amazing, caring, spunky, incredible 10 year old girl. She started having back pain. The pain seemed unbearable and was slowing down our very outgoing Jazzy. After some tests the doctors decided to do an MRI. On Friday February 25th 2022 her parents worst nightmare was spotted. Jazzy had a 10cm tumor growing in her abdomen that seemed to have already started spreading. It was putting pressure on her bladder and her nerves causing the back and leg pain she was feeling. She was seen at Doernbechers Children hospital Monday February 28th 2022 where they started digging deep and trying everything to find out what was going on. This brave girl underwent scans and bone marrow samples her first day. The very next day she underwent an MRI and a small surgery for them to get samples of the tumor and grafts from her lower vertebrae. They let her go home after that but on the way home the hospital called to say her tumor was causing clotting and that she needed to move around as little as possible and stay on her right side. They were told to come back Thursday March 3rd so they could teach her parents how to give her blood thinner shots twice a day. The hospital called them that morning though and told them they needed to come earlier so they could put a port in for Jazzy to start chemotherapy as soon as possible. When they got to the hospital the doctors gave them the heartbreaking news. Jazzy has Rhabdomyosarcoma or known as RMS. It’s a under the subsection Alveolar. It was a one in a million chance for her to have this rare cancer and our girl Jazzy does. Unfortunately the cancer has already metastasized(spread) throughout her lower abdomen. They said it’s already around most of her organs. I’m trying to help raise funds for her Dad to help fight this for Jazzy. So he can pay for any out of pocket costs but also so he don’t have to worry about their bills. This way he can be off work to focus solely on supporting Jazzy and getting her through this while still providing for Jazzys little brother Logan as well. The diagnosis is daunting and the numbers for survival they gave are heartbreaking but we are going to do EVERYTHING in our power to make sure she gets to the best doctors and gets the treatments she needs. Please please if you can help in anyways we would be forever grateful beyond anything I could ever explain. Jazzy is so brave just like a little warrior but we want her to know that she is supported beyond what she could ever know. Thank you again. ❤️❤️❤️
