Help Fares, a 13-Year-Old Orphan, Raise His Siblings and a Newborn Baby Alone Amidst Gaza Crisis

Bismillahi Rahmanir Raheem (In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful)

My name is Dr. A Hussein. I am a British Doctor currently living in London, UK. I am raising funds to help Fares, a thirteen-year-old boy, who is completely alone and raising his four siblings, including a 2-month-old newborn baby, while their mother is in the hospital. Gaza has been under siege, and many families seek evacuation but have no one on the outside to assist them. I have taken it upon myself to support them by creating and raising funds on their behalf, and by Allah, I will ensure that all money raised goes directly to them via paypal. Although the Rafah border is currently closed, I aim to raise funds so that when a way out opens, they will have enough money for a quick escape.

The Family’s Heartbreaking Story:

Fares (13), Waseem (12), Razan (9), Aboud (3), and Malak (2 months old) have endured the most impossible circumstances. They witnessed the death of their father, who was killed amidst the war in Gaza. They used to live in Northern Gaza but have been displaced several times and are currently in Khan Younis. Their mother, Sherihan Zuhair, is in the hospital due to complications following a c-section, requiring blood transfusions. This has left Fares completely alone to take on the responsibility of raising his siblings. They have no other adults to help them and are in urgent danger. These children are raising a newborn baby by themselves. No child should have to endure such hardship. It is our duty to do whatever we can to help them.

Fares and his siblings are incredibly hardworking, trying to survive in these dire conditions. They are sewing clothes, baking, fetching water, and doing everything alone. Please see their daily TikToks to witness their efforts and resilience.

My Involvement:

I have maintained regular contact with this family and have been supporting them during the Gaza crisis. They are wonderful children who are hardworking and doing their best to survive in an impossible situation.

Message from Fares:

Here is a message from Fares regarding his family’s situation and what life has been like for him and his siblings:

"I grew up in Northern Gaza, before the siege we had a good life. We had to witness the killing of my father despite him being innocent. My mother is in the hospital at the moment and we are now living in a tent by ourselves. We have become orphans having to fend for ourselves. I have now had to take the role of both a mother and father to my siblings. I dream of water pouring out of a tap. We are innocent and have not done anything shameful. We are just children who want to lead a decent life."

How the Funds Will Be Used:

The funds raised will be used for the following purposes:

The Funds will be collected in a UK bank account and then transferred to the family via Paypal or bank transfer in Gaza to meet their basic needs. For evacuation purposes we will be sending the money to our contact in Egypt who will utilize the funds to register the family for travel through Ya Hala travel agency.

Additional funds will be collected for meeting their basic needs in Egypt.
