Hello, My Name is Tillie, and I am raising money for the 14-year-old daughter of my dear friend, Ana. Her daughter, Natalie became ill at the age of ten, when she lost coordination to her hands, legs, and neck. She was hospitalized for a month in Spokane, WA, at the time her parents were told by neurologists and doctors that it was possibly ADEM, Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis then referred to Children's in Seattle, where Neurologist ruled out that diagnosis. Her condition worsened, at one point her vision was severely affected. And she continued to have relapses causing her body to attack itself, without a clear answer as to why. Children's was unable to diagnose and they were sent back and forth to see new Doctors and neurologists. The diagnosis has been MS, Multiple Sclerosis. Her neurologist has said her case is incredibly unique and it is concerning due to the progression shown on her MRI’S and other repeated tests through these four years. Her team of Doctor’s has decided she needs further evaluation and help to continue this journey and have referred her to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The Mayo Clinic has reviewed Natalie's case and has agreed to see her, the appointment is set for January 17, 2022.
Through the 4 years it has taken to get to this point, Natalie has suffered with headaches, poor coordination, poor vision (frequent vision changes) and constant pain. During this process, her parents have exhausted all their resources to pay for Natalie's treatments and traveling expenses to her doctors in Spokane and Seattle. They desperately need help with expenses to make the trip to Minnesota, and to cover the $5000. deductible required by the Mayo Clinic.
Please consider what you can do to help this precious child and donate to her cause. Thank you, and May God bless your efforts.
