Help 17 yo Ukrainian hockey player stay in Boston

Hi my name is Liam and I am a 17 year old high school hockey player from Boston, MA. I am fundraising for my friend and teammate Serhii Nikulin and his girlfriend Sasha who came to Boston in September 2021. Serhii has been living with me and my family outside Boston, MA.  Serhii is a member of the Ukrainian Junior National Team who hopes to play college hockey in America. After Sasha was accepted at a college in Boston, Serhii decided to come to Boston to play Tier I hockey and attend a local high school.  When they arrived, none of us would ever have thought that less than 6 months later their country would be invaded by Russia, their hometown Kharkiv would be bombarded by the Russian military, and their parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends would be forced to seek shelter in a war zone.  Serhii had planned to return to Ukraine for the summer.  Now Serhii and Sasha are seeking asylum in the US to stay safe. They need help with finances for an attorney for the asylum process and school and daily expenses now that their parents are unable to send them money because of the war. Please know that every little bit will help, even the cost of a cup of coffee, and will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
