3 kids rescued from submerged vehicle
Donation protected
Hi I'm Connie Albert mother of Joshua Albert, who's children (my grand babies) were involved in the accident near 10th St. Bridge where their vehicle was submerged on Tuesday Nov 30, 2021. Thanks to the quick responding rescue teams they were able to extract all 4 within 20 minutes. Unfortunately due to injuries and complications sustained from the accident Corey Pratto (26) the mother of all 3 children passed away later that night. Although she's gone we pray she is watching over helping all 3 fight for they're lives.
Making it out after being submerged for 20 minutes these 3 are fighting with everything they have. Lilah Pratto (7) who was unresponsive for 20 minutes after being pulled out had surgery and is on the Ecmo life support machine at U of M hospital with her younger sister Rosie Albert (3) on life support. Gunnar Albert (5) also had surgery and is on the Ecmo life support machine is at Detriot Children's hospital all 3 with many friends an family members by their side everyday.
Within the next 24 hours of endless prayers and support from everyone we were blessed with 3 miracles! The youngest Rosie woke up moving and if all remains well they want to take her off life support tomorrow ( Thursday Dec 2 ), Gunnar herd his dads voice talking to him and instantly opened his eyes, his color and body temp is getting better, along with brain activity and vitals look good. Lilah the oldest herd her grandpas voice and instantly opened her eyes while calling out for her mom, and is showing body movements. Were not sure yet if or how much if any brain damage was done. Although they are still in critical condition with a long road ahead, our hearts are greatful for the positive signs that they are going to pull through!
My son along with other friends and family are dedicating all their time an funds to be with and stay by the kids side. I'd like to help make sure they're still able to enjoy the holidays the best they can along with anything they need on their road to recovery. We are asking for everyone's help to please keep them in your prayers!
We're blessed to have the love an support from Mrs. Finn, Gunnar's teacher at Howard D. Crull Elementary who has offered to help if anyone wants to drop off or send any donations for the kids to a private and secure location (address listed at the bottom) she'll make sure it goes directly to them. All donations will help provide them with finacial support towards anything needed on their road to recovery. Thank you for all your kindness!
