Help 3-Year-Old Annabelle Fight Leukemia

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

My name is Todd and I am reaching out on behalf of my beloved niece, Annabelle. Anna is a vibrant and courageous 3-year-old little girl who has been diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Our family is devastated, and we are rallying together to support Anna through this incredibly challenging time. We are creating this GoFundMe page to ask for your support in helping Anna fight this battle.

Annabelle's Journey:
It all started with a large, swollen lump on Anna's head and swollen lymph nodes along her throat. Multiple urgent medical appointments, hospital admissions, and countless tests followed. Despite the efforts of many dedicated medical professionals, the cause of Anna's symptoms remained a mystery. Each day brought new tests, new faces, and new uncertainties.

We were finally referred to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, where Anna underwent a series of ultrasounds, blood tests, and consultations with specialists. The days blurred together for Brendan and Melissa as they anxiously awaited answers. Anna’s resilience and bravery through it all were nothing short of incredible, and her parents, Melissa and Brendan, have been unwavering pillars of strength, holding the family together during this unimaginable time.

The Diagnosis:
Our worst fears were confirmed when Anna was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The diagnosis came quickly, and Anna was immediately admitted to the oncology ward at Queensland Children’s Hospital. Her platelets were dangerously low, but with the help of two transfusions, they are slowly stabilising.

The Road Ahead:
Anna's treatment plan involves staying in the hospital for a week and in Brisbane for at least a month before she can initially return home. The next steps include infusions, a chest x-ray, an ultrasound, and surgery to take a bone marrow sample and perform a spinal tap to assess the extent of her cancer. Additionally, Anna will have a port inserted for her more permanent cannula.

How You Can Help:
The emotional and physical toll of this journey is beyond words, but the financial burden is also significant. We need your support to cover medical expenses, travel costs, and living expenses as Anna and her family stay in Brisbane for her treatment. Your donations will help us ensure that Anna receives the best possible care and that her family can focus on supporting her through this fight.

Thank You:
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love, well wishes, and support from our friends, family, and community. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us and provide the strength we need to keep moving forward. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us during this difficult time.

Updates:
We will continue to provide updates on Anna's progress and treatment here on this GoFundMe page. Your support and encouragement give us hope and strength xxxx
