Help 40 Artists after Huntington Beach Riot
Donation protected
Please help 40 local Artists recover from the destruction of their small businesses at the Huntington Beach pier. The Artists were supporting the Iconic beloved Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum at a fundraising event titled Surfin Sunday. Saturday night May 22 there was a riot instigated by a Tik Tok video that went viral. Massive crowds deliberately destroyed all of the Artists' exhibits and looted their products, so many created with their own hands. Huntington Beach Pier Plaza was overtaken by rioters destroying everything in their path. These Artists are trying to recover from 2020 and all the Covid closures and many are already struggling financially. Please help them rebuild their small businesses and help them get started again.
Your donation can help them rebuild their exhibits and be able to start selling their art again so they can support their families.
My name is Jodi McKay and I am the event coordinator for the Surfin Sundays event where this devastating riot took place. I am also a
30-year volunteer, past Chairwoman, and Trustee on the Board of Directors for the Huntington Beach International Surfin Museum. Several of the vendors that were victimized have been attending our events for more than a decade, so they are our partners and friends. We quickly moved into action to help our tribe and created this Go Fund Me campaign on their behalf.
The Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum, a 501c3 non-profit, EIN #33-0275732, will be completely transparent in giving 100% of the funds raised here directly to the vendors! Immediate needs are being met, folks are getting back their livelihood AND their faith that there are still so many good people out there!
We are forever grateful for your most generous contribution!!
Please help - Thank you
