Help 40 Seniors to fulfill their lifelong wishes

Dear Friends,

Today, I am writing this letter on behalf of the seniors of Tsum -Nubri Valley, Nepal. As many of you know, I am organizing another Vision Care Camp in Tsum-Nubri Valley in the coming April and preparing for the trip with over a thousand reading glasses and 800 or more shoes.

While communicating with people in Tsum-Nubri, I received a heartfelt request from them. Their elders have spent their whole lives in these villages and many have never stepped foot out of their village. We asked if they needed any assistance with food supplies or clothes but they declined though they needed it. Instead, they all wish for an opportunity to seek blessings from His Holiness Dalai Lama in person. I immediately accepted their request without giving much thought to finances and neither was I aware of the cost for the whole trip all the way from Tsum-Nubri, Nepal to Dharamsala, India. They are now waiting for my arrival so that we can fulfill their lifelong dream.

So, right after completing the Vision Care Camp, I am now planning to take a group of around 40 seniors from Tsum-Nubri Valley to seek blessings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, India. This pilgrimage holds immense significance for these seniors, many of whom have only seen His Holiness portrait or have access to his teachings on videos, and expressed a lifelong desire to receive blessings from His Holiness in person.

However, I realized that organizing such a trip involves various logistical and financial considerations. Therefore, I am reaching out to my generous donors like you to request financial support to make this pilgrimage a reality for these seniors. Your contribution will help cover travel expenses, accommodation, meals, and other essential needs throughout the journey. We will also assign two nurses who have recently completed their education through our scholarship program and will have four volunteers to assist the seniors. The whole journey will take around 16 days from Nepal to India with a bus ride for 2 days from Kathmandu to Delhi and another 12 hours bus ride from Delhi to Dharamsala. After their audience with His Holiness, I am going to arrange a pilgrimage for them for a few days in and around Dharamsala. I will also accompany them on the bus journey from Nepal to India to make sure the journey runs smoothly.

We believe that every senior deserves the opportunity to fulfill their spiritual aspirations and create meaningful memories in their later years.

So, I come to you with my humble request to join me in fulfilling these seniors' lifelong wish to get an audience and blessing from His Holiness.
