Help 4-Year-Old Tyler Get Life-Saving Surgery

Three years ago, I asked for your help on behalf of the Ladran family of Cavite, Philippines. As GoFundMe is not available there and they have no family in the States able to help them, I started a GoFundMe to help with medical expenses for their grandson, Tyler, who was born in 2020 and diagnosed with epilepsy and severe cerebral palsy.

Today, Tyler is a happy 4-year-old boy. While he is still facing significant challenges due to his conditions, your donations have helped him receive consistent medical care and therapy.

Unfortunately, Tyler has recently been diagnosed with GERD, a condition that has contributed to him having difficulty keeping food down and gaining weight. As such, he is severely malnourished and weighs just 7.9 kilograms (17.4 pounds). He needs a gastronomy tube placed as well as fundoplication to help him properly digest food and gain weight. These procedures will cost an estimated ₱70,000-₱100,000 ($1,207 - $1,724.78).

Tyler is in the care of his grandparents, who have struggled financially since the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in his grandfather, Alcelito Ladran, losing work. Alcelito is now caring not only for Tyler but also for his wife, who recently had a stroke, leaving her partially paralyzed. The family is grateful for any help you are able to provide. The goal amount covers the projected cost of the operations as well as a bit extra for other hospital costs. Any extra will go towards Tyler's continued medical care.
