Help 5 Rescued Dogs Find a Safe Haven
Donation protected
Friends and family, I have tried to post a storyline of 8 dogs we pulled moments away from euthanasia to make room for the hoarders' dogs. Good dogs. I volunteered to drive these babies up to Carmel where 2 rescues who pulled them but needed transport.
Our Coachella Valley Animal Campus is the highest kill shelter in the nation. They had 221 dogs and only 85 kennels when 2 local hoarding situations brought in dozens upon dozens of dogs in one day.
After I arrived in Carmel, one of the rescues had their fosters flake out! Leaving us with 5 dogs with nowhere to go. After spending 48 hours hands-on with these 5 beauties, I just couldn’t take them back to that hell hole. I have been networking endlessly to land them in a committed safe spot. Knowing our resources were limited locally, the woman who graciously welcomed us into her home (with 8 dogs after a 7-hour drive) paid to board 3 and I brought 2 back.
I have found a sanctuary in Fortuna, CA. That will take the 3 in boarding. Thank you, God!!! Miranda’s rescue will take Hendrix, Walter, and Miko.
Shannon is requesting $500 per dog for their veterinary check which is fair. These boys have not been neutered by CVAC as well.
I am here asking for help to raise money. My intent is to only raise what I need for these good boys to get into Miranda’s sanctuary.
I have never done this before so I’m not sure if GoFundMe or Zelle would be best? Anyhow, I will be opening a GoFundMe soon and placing the link here. Any amount will help. God is in this story for sure.
