Help 5 Year Old Lance Fight Cancer
Donation protected
At the tender age of four, Lance fell from a bench at school, hitting the side of his head on concrete stones below. The wounds from the fall would not heal. Two months after the fall, it was discovered that Lance has a rare form of cancer: stage three Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Prior to the fall, Lance was so energetic, loving and playful. No one would’ve guessed that cancer was growing within his little body. Now, sweet Lance is fighting the battle of his life. He and his family are in need of prayers and financial support.
Lance’s mom, single mother Cherita McCarter, had to stop working to become Lance’s full time care taker. She leaves their home at 4am and drives more than 200 miles each way to get him to his treatment center. When beds aren’t available Cherita must drive home and repeat the process the next day. Last week, she did this five days in a row. The family’s car is beginning to need service. They are also in need of gas and food to make the continued journeys.
Lance has a twin brother and older sister. With so many things that can’t be controlled, the comfort of home has been a sense of peace for little Lance and his siblings.
Please pray for little Lance and his entire family!! I know that any help you can offer would go to great use in helping this family with their mounting expenses. I’ll try to return and keep everyone posted on Lance’s journey. He truly is a special little boy!
