Help 72 yr old USMC VET rebuild his home.

At 72 I was providing a home for my granddaughter and her family so we had a total of 6 people living in my home, all youngsters except for me.

My neighbor set fire to his house and the incompetence of Clifton Forge, VA. fire depart. set my house ablaze.

After the firemen ran from my home I entered my home and put out the interior fire.

As I was attempting to spray the flames on my roof I was tackled from behind by several unidentified men, handcuffed and thrown into a suv.

This happened at approximately midnight.

I was taken to jail because I told, what turned out to be a cop, to go Brandon himself when he told me to quit putting out the fire by leaving.

I didn't know he was a deputy until I got to jail.

By then my arms were bleeding profusely from the cuffs which only made the cops laugh. I was charged with hindrance even though I was the only person on my property and given 6 months probation. The judge said I should just let my house burn.

I cracked my 3rd case of covid and really thought I would not survive because I am in stage 5 kidney failure, have had triple bypass, 5 stents, 3 strokes, TB plus many crippling injuries accrued from my service and a lifetime of hard work.

The only contractor I could find in my area assured me that if he had the insurance funds he could rebuild my home in a timely manner so my granddaughter could have a home again even if I didn't survive.

The contractor lied repeatedly about the progress while his crew destroyed my home.

They tore out and threw away insulated windows, doors, new drywall, all the trim such as baseboards and door framing.

He failed to adequately tarp or repair the roof and his crew stold too many tools and personal items to count.

I somehow semi recovered from this last round of covid although I am still very weak and am slowly trying to get my live together.

I only ask for help because I am fairly close to desperate and there is no way for me to recover the $70,000.00 insurance the contractor defrauded from me.

Any assistance trance will be greatly appreciated as all the young folks have list their jobs and the IRS has filed an offset to keep part of my SS because of a false return someone filed using my ID.

When it rains it pours.
