Help Seniors 80 Years and Up Enjoy the Slopes of Telluride

Update 10/1/24 - Good day - I am starting this fundraiser up again. It appears that Telski is not being responsive to the email requests from the 80+ group. I would like to begin process of raising money again. If you previously donated I would appreciate that support agailn and please share - thank you!

It is also worth noting that the 65+ discounted pass for Telski was also eliminated this year - there is no longer any discounted pass for senior citizens.

Telski announced today that if you are a senior 80 years and older and feel you have financial hardship you can email Chad Horning directly and receive a free ski pass. I am refunding all your donations - may take 7-10 business days. Again, thank you for your support!

Good day, I would like to introduce myself as a proud resident of Telluride, CO. I grew up in this town, and one of the things I admire the most is our sense of community. We Telluriders know how to come together and support each other, despite our differences. It is a very special and unique environment that I know we all cherish.

Recently, The Telluride Ski Resort (Telski) just announced that they will no longer give local seniors 80+ years of age a free ski pass. This has been a benefit that many local seniors have aspired to achieve. I know myself and this community have been very confused by this decision. Many of these individuals have been here for the duration of Telski's 50+ years of business, skiing every year and helping to create this wonderful place we call home.

I know there are much larger issues in our world; however, wouldn't it be nice to do a little something for the generation that helped shape us? I would love to be able to buy these local 80+ year old seniors their free pass, or at minimum a few full-day tickets. I feel like they deserve it, don't you?

If you can donate even a little and share this fundraiser, I feel we can go a long way to accomplishing this goal. I know ideally we would all like Telski to ultimately reverse this decision. If this were to happen, I would be able to refund any donations made.
