Hi everyone! Never in a million years did we think we would be dealing with this. Cambria is 9 years old and like any other child, loving life. One day she started complaining of shoulder pain that just wouldn’t go away. After X-rays and CT scans they found that she would need a biopsy. The biopsy results were the worst news imaginable. Cambria has Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). Unfortunately, our small area doesn’t offer the treatment that Cambria needs. The family has health insurance, but she needed copays and transport to a hospital that could do pediatric chemotherapy! All the specialists and treatment has been so overwhelming! Kait (mom) has had to take time off work to stay with her daughter 24/7. And will continue to stay with Cambria.
Update: Cambria started chemo on Tuesday. Jan 23. She will be staying in the hospital indefinitely. Her parents are with her and siblings are being cared for by close family.
