Help Crescent Manifest DREAM

From Jenny Wonderling, a creator of BLOOM and LUMINOUS, DREAM will be an evening of the surreal and the visceral. Experience the joy of fullest presence held within the embrace of the sacred. An extravagant bounty of divine, abundant food created by a coveted, renowned chef and others. On Dec. 7th, 2024, travel and dine with magical creatures, held by gorgeous, original live music, sound healing, and the healing resonance of song.
DREAM's premier launch will be December 7th, 2024 at Crescent Hudson Valley and will be the first of many of these productions to come. We are currently weaving the songs and details, creating sets and costumes so that this can be another template for inspiration, community building and healing.
BUT LET'S STEP BACK FIRST BEFORE MOVING FORWARD...
BLOOM, co-produced, visioned, co-directed and co-written by Jenny Wonderling and created under the umbrella of Circle Creative Collective of which she was then a co-founder. That was June of 2022, and our creative offering brought people on a one mile visceral experience through thirteen scenes at Stone Ridge Orchard in the evening. The tale followed the course of life from the void through conception, disorientation, quickening, until finally there was birth and celebration. BLOOM allowed participants to be both witness and player on a full sensory experience where performance met the sacred.
BLOOM came to life thanks to more than 200 passionate and creative local helpers and volunteers from diverse backgrounds to bring this vision to life. Over 1200 guests joined in this experience over the course of two days. Leading up to the event, Circle offered free hands-on workshops, inspiring creativity through mask and wing making, sewing, and more. All costumes, masks and sets were handmade with upcycled materials or sustainably and honorably harvested materials from nature.
LUMINOUS took place in the caves of The Widow Jane Mine in October of 2022, just before Halloween, Día de Los Muertos, All Souls' Day, and Samhain marking the approach of winter’s stillness. Through contemplative story, performance, and song, we honored the importance that death, grief, and the dark carry—for there is no day without night. Over 80 performers, artists and musicians of diverse backgrounds and cultures came together to bring this event to life allowing 700 people to experience the 4 performances in which the community was invited to light candles in offering to their ancestors and beloved departed.

LUMINOUS was a powerful celebration honoring the thinning of the veil between worlds, gifting us a unique way to honor our ancestors, the beloved departed, and even aspects of ourselves that we may have buried. Through story, song, community, a journey into the earth and our own hearts, LUMINOUS was a beautiful balm to help bring light to the darker months of introspection. By honoring grief, impermanence, and the wisdom of the unseen world, we are able to truly celebrate life. Together with BLOOM, this second offering of hope and healing completed an important story of life's most essential cycles of birth and death. LUMINOUS was a living reminder that death is the great equalizer no matter our backgrounds, that we are all held by nature, love and magic, and that we hold the alchemizing, transformative powers of creativity.
Jenny was a catalytic and integral part of both events and now she's weaving a new vision within the arms of her new Hudson Valley community event spaces Crescent...

What is Crescent?
Crescent Hudson Valley offers community programs that promote deep connections among neighbors and new friends. Through a vibrant mix of art exhibits, health and wellness classes, sound healing, dance, Breathwork and yoga, musical house concerts, talks with Indigenous wisdom keepers, song and drum circles, herb and forest walks, dating events, communal meals, craft and creativity workshops, and markets, we invite a renewed feeling of hopefulness, inner-balance, courage, and mutual support. Our offerings are heartfelt, meaningful, and joyous. All this, while re/awakening to our responsibility and relationship with the earth.
Even MORE Crescent?
Crescent has recently expanded from our farm and 525 sq' studio into a beautiful, new light-filled 2,000 sq’ commercial barn space in Gardiner to allow for higher attendance and in turn– impact. Within the spacious arms of Crescent at Full Circle, we now have large indoor private and public gatherings with the benefits of amenities thanks to other on-site businesses: a restaurant, bakery, and coffee bar.
- Crescent is excited to provide local jobs for creatives and a growing support team as we expand, and more revenue opportunities for even more impassioned and talented teachers and creatives.
- Simultaneously, Crescent Farm will continue to offer nature-based programming like herbal walks, camping experiences and site-specific productions and events like EarthSong, as well intimate weddings, outdoor events, and smaller workshops. Both Gardiner hubs will amplify overall programming while having varied benefits and opportunities.
Why is this Go Fund Me campaign needed now?
“Recent reports indicate that as much as 33 percent of the world's population is lonely. A study by Ipsos MORI found that 45% of adults globally reported feeling lonelier since the pandemic began.” -DiscoveryABA
Our programming inspires, connects and heals for attendees, creatives, teachers, and space holders alike. In a world and country plagued by soaring rates of loneliness and depression, and a health care system that cannot meet needs, such oases are crucial.
In addition to being a healing antidote, our needed funds will also help CRESCENT to…
- Create a Good Fairy Fund that will invite even greater inclusivity, diversity, and outreach for those who cannot afford workshop and event costs. (Helps us cover our pay-as-you-can programming)
- Pay for essential items to make this expansion possible-- including fair facilitator and support team compensation, yoga mats, props and blankets, a sound system ($4,708 and essential for our many incredible music, performance and dance driven events), instuments and art supplies, and so much more. (Please see below.)
A Note by Jenny Wonderling, Crescent’s Owner…
Hello Beloved Community,
If you are receiving this campaign, you probably already know about the ways I have been helping to nourish and weave community for decades. Through my Breathwork, writing classes and retreats, the events that I have created, co-produced, or provided the space for, as well as my days owning my Nectar shops, and being a Co-Founder/Co-Director of Circle Creative Collective, I have been so blessed to help ignite lasting, deep relationships in and with others, as well as greater joy and connection.
I have seen first-hand, the powerful catharsis and healing that happens through creative expression, authentic communication within safe and inclusive spaces, the importance of traditional wisdom, spiritual tools, and shared experiences with caring humans who also consider our connection with the earth.
It has been my great honor to heal, teach, learn, volunteer and dream alongside you in quiet or more overtly impactful ways. Whether you also live in our lush Hudson Valley (our small but luminous corner of hope) where I have lived for over 23 years now, or you are receiving this because our paths crossed a different way, thank you for your reflection of kindness in what often feels like a mad world.
This quote by Yehuda Berg sums it up for me: “A true community is not just about being geographically close to someone or part of the same social web network. It's about feeling connected and responsible for what happens. Humanity is our ultimate community, and everyone plays a crucial role.”
I want to keep providing thriving spaces, events and ways that we can foster such a culture and orientation for all who pass through the doors.
It's time to call in support! Every dollar will genuinely help.
THANK YOU sincerely for giving what you can.
I look forward to creating, growing, playing, connecting and healing with you. .
With so much love and sincere gratitude,
-Jenny

“Here's to the bridge-builders, the hand-holders, the light-bringers, those extraordinary souls wrapped in ordinary lives who quietly weave threads of humanity into an inhumane world. They are the unsung heroes in a world at war with itself. They are the whisperers of hope that peace is possible. Look for them in this present darkness. Light your candle with their flame. And then go. Build bridges. Hold hands. Bring light to a dark and desperate world. Be the hero you are looking for. Peace is possible. It begins with us.” -L.R. Knost
“Crescent is one of my favorite places and truly nourishing in every way. I’ve been there for classes, a woman’s song circle, and their original productions, EarthSong and One Flame Many. A river, gardens, delicious meals, lovely humans… it’s one of those places you never really want to leave. I came as a stranger but now I truly have a LOT of dear friends.” -C.W.
“I’ve been witnessing the magic of community weaving that Jenny has crafted over a couple of decades. She has a very unique gift of seeing and hearing people's core selves. She seems to be a master at manifesting visions that are rooted in deep truth and goodness. Add those two high vibrational realities and it is of no surprise that this is her next step in her offerings. Jenny is a natural producer of magic and the healing that is possible within us all and in our world. Carve out time to be at Full Circle and allow your spirit to be touched and your life to shift in the direction of grace.”
