Help Jana Get treatment and escape war
Donation protected
Hi All
My name is Hanna I’m based in Germany.
This campaign is for the emergency temporary relocation for my friend Jana and her family. Due to her geographical location and restrictions from GoFundMe I am stepping in to help launch this campaign. All donations will go directly to Jana. Please support if you can, any amount, however small can help.
Due to the ground offensive and bombing in Rafah, there is no safe place left in Gaza. The funds of this campaign will be directed towards emergency temporary evacuation for Jana and her family.
Below the story of Jana’s campaign:
Hello, dear supporters. I am Jana, a 12-year-old from Gaza. I suffer from acute kidney failure, and my mother suffers from ulcerative colitis. Since October 7th, neither my mother nor I have received our treatment due to the shortage of medications and the bombings that destroyed all hospitals in the Gaza Strip. We have endured a lot and resorted to alternative medicines, but this has only worsened our health.
My mother, my family of 7, and I are in need of your help to seek proper treatment and find safety in Egypt.

We have lost everything we had – our warm beautiful home, car, jobs, and the beautiful life we once had. I have lost all my friends in this Genocide , seeing them torn into pieces,Please, I do not want to die in pieces. I do not want to die in this horrible way. I am still young, and I want to live a healthy life and find safety with what remains of my family.
Now, I find myself in a position where I must humbly seek your support to help evacuate me and my family to Egypt. I am launching this fundraiser to gather the necessary resources to evacuate.
The funds collected will be meticulously utilized for:
1. Evacuation to Egypt
2. Prober treatment for me and my mother
3. Temporary cost for rent and basic necessities
Your Impact:
Every contribution, no matter the size, will play a crucial role in helping to evacuate me and my family. Your support goes beyond financial aid; it is a lifeline that helps us reclaim our sense of normalcy and security in these challenging times.
I am truly grateful for your time, consideration, and support. Your generosity will make a lasting impact on our lives, helping us turn the page towards a brighter, and more hopeful chapter .
Update from Hanna 29/05
Thank you all for your generous donations♥️
I want to explain exactly what we do with the donations and how we do it.
Below a list of expenses
1. cashout commission in Gaza
- any time you need to take cash from the bank a fee of 25% is taken from the sum (if you want to withdraw 100 you will only receive 75)
2. Payment to Egyptian Ministry for Visa
- 7x8000$ = 56.000$
3. transportation to Rafah
- I have no exact number as this will happen in the future, due to massive fuel shortage prices for taxi or similar have risen easily from previous 30 to now 300
4. transportation inside Egypt
- this is also in the future but we have to transport a total of 7 people
3. Bribe for officials along the way
- this is a sad point but it’s not secret that there are many people trying to profit from others misery
4. bribe to be on the „list“
- Again… very sad to say but the more money you give the more likely you will receive a visa and be allowed to evacuate
5. rent
- once in Egypt I calculated 1100€/month for an apartment for 7 people. Best case would be to be able to cover the first three months to get settled
6. food&drink for 7 amount of people
- I’m not sure what the number will be, but through it all Jana and her family need to be fed!
7. shoes, clothes, bedding, kitchen supplies (furniture)
- IF everything will work and they will be able to evacuate (which we pray for) they will only be able to take small baggage. So all necessities will have to be bought in Egypt, but at least some pots and pans, pillows, blankets and a fresh set of clothes would be nice
8.Health
- Jana and her mother have an urgent need for medical attention. Dialysis is something done at a specialist hospital which will cost an unknown amount yet
9. Other fees and commissions
- gfm does take 2.9% from each donation
- every bank transfer costs commission, unfortunately I am not able to send her the money directly to Gaza so we have to take other routes through family members and friends
Thank you again for your support and remember we need a Ceasefire now and open borders to save lives!
