Koda
Koda is our 10 year old golden doodle, the sweetest snuggle pup you’ll ever meet. Koda is an active dog but loves multiple good naps. She loves people and is great with kids. She is a counter surfer, and loves being the little spoon. Koda is one of the great joys in our life.
What happened?
In early August heading home from a trip we received a call from our pet sitter that Koda had been hurt while wandering our property and was not using her left paw.
When we can home we quickly set up a vet visit for the next day. Through the next few weeks meeting with vets and specialists we learned that Koda had suffered a brachial plexus avulsion due to trauma (unfortunately no one saw what happened so we will never know the details).
We started Koda on medication hoping for a spontaneous recovery. Unfortunately she has not regained any movement. We have since meet with a wonderful Ortho Specialist and have decided our sweet girl would be happier living her days out as a Tripawd. She is scheduled for amputation surgery next Tuesday 8/27.
Your contribution...
This accident has come as a huge shock. As we have started to process the emotional side, we now also have to look at the financial side. Your contributions will go directly to the cost and associated costs of Koda’s amputation.
Thank you!
Thank you, thank you - we can’t say it enough. We appreciate any support and help you can provide. We understand that not everyone is in a place to help financially but please keep Koda your thoughts and prayers.
Help us spread the word if you can share the link on your social media that would be great.
