Help Shelly Lightcap defeat Stage 3 Breast Cancer
Donation protected
This is Shelly Lightcap. She, along with her husband and children, live in Virginia. She is a loving wife of 20 years and an amazing mother of three wonderful teenage children. Very recently, Shelly was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Breast Cancer that is in Stage 3. Since the age of 11, Shelly has been living with and managing Type 1 Diabetes. This disease is an autoimmune disease and requires her to be dependent on insulin to sustain her life.
Unfortunately, two of their children also have Type 1 Diabetes. Combating diabetes for her, their children, and now having a cancer diagnosis, has been a huge struggle in many different ways.
Shelly, her husband and children are so thankful for the prayers and support of family, friends, and their faith community as they have been researching the best course of action for her recovery and cure.
They have discovered a facility in Clearwater, Florida that will help her with specific medical treatments designed to go to the root of the disease. They are stepping out in faith and praying for a miracle.
As you can imagine, a temporary relocation will be very expensive, considering the ordinary daily living expenses plus maintaining their home in Virginia. If you add to it medical expenses, it can seem rather overwhelming. They are hopeful they can stay long enough to make sure she is well on the road to recovery. Along with her husband, Shelly is hoping and praying they will see many more years ahead together and see their children grow up to marry and have families of their own.
Will you help Shelly in her fight for life? Will you be part of the miracle? Your gift will aid with treatments that could help save her life. Thank you. May the Lord bless you!
