Help a 92-Year-Old Recover From Eaton Fire

Donation protected

Hi, my mom, Yaeko, who is 92 years old and has been living in Altadena for 58 years on West Loma Alta Drive with me, her full-time caretaker. I love being with my Mom and taking care of her. We have spent many holidays in this home with my entire family and have many great memories. I am thankful to have many memories of running to Lake Ave and around Altadena about 5x a week which I will truly miss. Beautiful Altadena! My Mom truly misses her home, the familiarity of her chair, routine getting ready for the day. She LOVES her peanut butter jelly sandwiches made in her kitchen! Watching her favorite programs in her comfortable chair and going to the Altadena Senior Center gym meant the world to her. We will miss that as it was burned down. We unfortunately lost our home from the Eaton fire on January 7, 2025. She has Alzheimer's and wonders when we're going home. We are temporarily in a hotel. We are asking for your help in recovering from this devastating loss. Funds will be used to help pay for day to day living costs. We miss our neighbors that became not only friends but family. It's a great community and we truly hope we can return to Altadena one day soon. We know Jesus has a plan for us. My Mom and I greatly appreciate any help. God bless all of you!
