Please Help UC Berkeley Student Avoid Homelessness
Donation protected
I'm a third-year independent student at UC Berkeley studying philosophy. I am 21 years old, trying to support myself entirely on my own in the Bay Area. I have been 100% financially independent for the last three years, working two jobs while being a full-time student. I am a dedicated student who absolutely loves going to UC Berkeley, and pursuing philosophy feels like the enriching and challenging educational experience I am meant for. I truly love both of my jobs because they help me promote social justice and positively impact marginalized communities first-hand. However, this last academic year, my financial aid award was substantially lower than it had been in previous years, putting me in extreme financial hardship.
As this spring semester ends, I am currently on an academic registration hold due to an overdue balance, which means that I can't register for 2025 summer or 2025 fall classes until I pay the overdue medical bills on my student account.
Additionally, I am extremely close to becoming homeless as I just received notice that if I go an additional month without paying my rent, then I will be issued a 3-day eviction notice.
Please help me finish my last year of my undergraduate education at UC Berkeley, and please help me keep a roof over my head!
