Help a Black Designer Kickstart Her Business!

My name is Ty’Shon Hargrove and I’ve been designing clothes & jewelry for myself for as long as I can remember. My grandmother has always assisted me in creating every design I’ve ever thought of, whether it was an outfit I had imagined for an event, or an idea I came up with in my head after just seeing fabric I liked. 


Being very active on social media over the years, (Myspace, Tumblr, Instagram & Twitter) I have always shared my voice through my designs. 

For far too long, It has been dream of mine to see my designs on a larger scale , however the process of transitioning into making things for others people has been challenging and over the years I have been very unsure about how to go about it.

Year after year, I have placed my ideas on the back burner, waiting for the "right" moment & resources. I’m tired of making excuses! 

Yesterday I became extremely inspired again after posting some old designs from 2018 & receiving a large influx of messages full of support. I decided to be honest & come forth to ask for help kickstarting my business. This kickstarter will hopefully assist in my strides to work with manufactures & would make it a lot easier to produce my designs on a larger scale. 

I’ve personally always felt like my creative process has just always been all over the place & I’m working diligently to put things in order. 

The money I’m raising will be used to

-Buy supplies(fabrics, sewing machine, thread, etc.)

-Cover manufacturing cost

-Get samples & patterns made 

-Get website up and running

-Get Logo made 

-Get Licenses and Permits
