Help a Brazilian returned missionary be a doctor!

Hello! My name is Douglas, but some of you might remember me as Elder Siedschlag! I have served in the Utah Ogden mission from 2016-2018 and had the amazing opportunity to serve the Lord in the cities of Syracuse, Clinton, Plain City, Layton and, of course, Ogden! I was able to meet so many of you during this process. My mission has blessed me everyday since then, and I am extremely grateful for that blessing, and for the opportunity of meeting so many of you.

However, a new challenge lays ahead of me. I have recently been accepted at a medical school here in Brazil, after years of studying for entry exams. But the school I was approved in charges a very high cost. The total cost of my studies (6 years) is 100,000 dollars. I am determined to pay for that, even if it takes 15 years after I graduate, in order to bless my family and to bless the region where I live in here in Brazil.

I know about the generosity of the people in Utah. I have seen it with my own eyes and I'm grateful for the experiences I had with you. I also know that through very small means, much is brought to pass. If at all possible, any contribution will be a great relief for my wife and I through the years of my studies. To put things in perspective, any amount of money is converted into 5x more here in Brazil. 20 dollars cover all my electricity bill. If any of those amounts reach us, I will be able to contribute faster for those around me after I graduate, and I'll be able to continue my work here as a servant of the Lord, which will always be my mission.
